FAMILY:
With the understanding that a pediatric cancer diagnosis affects the entire family unit, NC4K strives to support kids fighting cancer by being family-focused. Not only does financial support affect the entire household, but emotional support and events for play particularly provide opportunities to bring the family together. This intentionality to engage parents, siblings, and other loved ones in the same way that we engage the patient child is our guiding light as we provide support.
COMMUNITY:
Across all aspects of our work, community is a driving force. It inspires how we advocate, how we plan events, and how we cultivate relationships with our families and supporters alike. We proceed with the desire to facilitate connection among like-minded individuals and the belief that we are stronger together.
SMALL MOMENTS MATTER:
We are constantly reminded that paying attention to the small, everyday actions can create a large impact. From handwritten thank you cards to weekly snack bags, it is often the simple yet thoughtful gestures that are the most touching to our families. When it’s easy to be pulled towards whatever seems bigger (and therefore better), we use this view to manage expectations, select priorities, and create special moments for the NC4K community.
